Joondalup Arena
Set in the heart of Joondalup City, Arena Joondalup provides multi-purpose sport, recreation and aquatic facilities for the fast growing northern corridor of Perth. It also has an outdoor sports ground which hosts Australian Rules football, rugby league and soccer.
Arena Joondalup is the largest venue of its type in Western Australia.

LandCorp – the Western Australian Government’s land development agency – in partnership with the City of Joondalup and the WA Sport Centre Trust.
Scope of Work
Benchmark Projects was the project manager to LandCorp for the master planning, design and construction of Stage One of Arena Joondalup. The master planning phase involved extensive community consultation with a wide range of stakeholders.
Innovations and Solutions
- First built-for-purpose multi-use indoor / outdoor stadium to be built in Australia.
- Benchmark Projects Managing Director Chris Carman liaised with the West Perth Football Club to provide the required amenities following the WPFC's relocation from its inner-city home to Arena Joondalup.
Outcomes Arena Joondalup was a critical component in the development of the Joondalup City Centre. It is now home to more than 30 sporting clubs, 2,500 Health and Fitness Club members, 1000 Learn to Swim members and 150 community sporting teams. |
